Anyone Else Bed Bound Most Of There Time ?

When my Fibromyalgia was finally diagnosed in 2003 fatigue was the main thing that stopped my movements. As the doctor & I tried various meds i learned about Pharmacokinetics, Parmacokdynamics and Pharmacogenetics. It explained why I have opposite, allergic, and non reactions to medications. It's also why 1 brand of the same drug like hydrocodone works on me but other brands don't. The original Norco helped take some of the edge off the pain. From about 2005 to 2009 I was mostly bed bound. My theory is that over the years my pain tolerance built up. I began doing physical therapy with a therapist who studied Fibromyalgia. He taught me muscle strengthening exercises i can do lying down on the bed. I was doing pretty well at going to see him. Was even thinking about joining a gym. But then 2 things happened.
Unfortunately, after the opiod blowup in U.S. they closed down original Norco manufacturers. So the other brands don't help as much. And the pandemic hit.
I'm sure you are thinking that physical therapy isn't an option for you. But, because Fibromyalgia people like yourself spend so much time in bed, you lose muscle strength. Yes, you might hurt some after doing, but then you are probably going to hurt anyway. I don't know if it is possible for you to have a therapist come in a few times a week and do the muscle strengthening exercises in bed. You would want someone who works with Fibromyalgia patients. You won't be able to get out of bed unless you can strengthen your muscles. It's a steep hill to climb. And I tumble down the hill alot. since the only brand of hydrocodone I can get isn't 1 that helps,
Also, there is some good research on NAD and Fibromyalgia. I feel like it does help me. I get an infusion 300, once a month, and give myself 40mg shots 2 to 3 times a week. If you are not familiar with NAD, it's also called the youth serum. 😅
But it helps fight the inflammation that fibro sufferers accumulate.
Don't know if any of this helps, but as Fibromyalgia survivors we have to keep hoping that something will help. I hope you find something or a combo of somethings that will help you. 🤗

No I'm not bed bound and I don't intend to be. Some mornings the only way I can get out of bed is to roll out! I'm lucky I am still able to touch my toes which makes it easy to stand up. I found moving helps me. I try to do everything I want even if it takes me longer. I pay for it. But this is my lot in life and I'm going to live it the best I can. Take care beautiful people. I hope you are feeling better. ❤
